Assassin's Creed Introduces Unexpected Attack on Titan Crossover for Holiday Season
In a unexpected collaboration that challenges traditional predictions, Ubisoft has announced an digital crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising Thanksgiving event operates from November 25 through December 22, including no-cost bonus story content for Shadows players.
Strange Mission Disclosed
According to the official release, "A strange confrontation leads protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh quest, where rumors of prohibited rituals and monstrous transformations echo through the obscurity." The plot introduces a "strangely attired woman named Ada" who assigns the duo with venturing into the Gemstone Grotto—a key location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her companion from a secret cult.
The adventure focuses on "peculiar tests and a terrifying enemy" and is open to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Iconic Locations and Changes
The teaser showcases the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was formerly where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The preview concludes with a dramatic scene showing a character, presumably the hostage, changing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.
Unique Items and Additional Content
Players who accomplish the adventure will obtain an special katana together with several artifacts concealed throughout the area in secret chests. The update also includes in-store Attack on Titan item packs, offering:
- Titan-inspired attire for Yasuke
- Mikasa costume for Naoe

Third Free Story Update
This patch also introduces the game's latest no-cost story episode, titled "A Puzzlement."
